Local Curated Guide

Food + drinks —

Nicks (San Clemente or Laguna Beach) — If i'm craving anything, it's their bistro salad with a blackened salmon on top. Their French onion soup is also a hit (only served on Saturdays). For dessert, their butter cake is a must!

Chaupain Bakery (San Clemente) — The best French inspired bakery in town! Their French onion soup or chicken pesto sandwich is a MUST. Make sure to grab a fresh roll of bread or their house made yogurt on your way out.

Los Molinos (San Clemente) — My favorite brewery in San Clemente. Good vibes, live music, kid + dog friendly. They do lots of events like trivia night (every Wednesday), comedy nights, and more.

Bagel Shack (San Clemente) — Local favorite! Every time I come here, I always leave with a bag full of bagels to make at home.

Bar Jane (San Clemente) — Enjoy classy crafted cocktail here!

Active Culture (San Clemente + Laguna Beach) — Active Culture is a lively, counter service café founded on the belief that healthy food can taste amazing! I get their Wholesome Bowl, Breakfast Bowl, or Eastern Trade Winds bowl.

Sation Craft (Dana Point) — Brewery + Kitchen — Their salads and cider are to die for!

Project Social (Dana Point) — Brewery + Kitchen — They have a huge menu and lots of yummy beer.

Mayfield (San Juan Capistrano) — Mediterranean inspired restaurant. Their cocktails are great. I dream about their Baba Ganoush, eggplant toast, and grain bowl.

Starfish (Laguna Beach)  — Simply AMAZING. You can't go wrong with anything on their menu, especially their Lychee Martini.

COFFEE - IF SAN CLEMENTE, DOES ONE THING RIGHT, ITS COFFEE SHOPS.

Sur Coffee (San Clemente) — Can't go wrong with anything! Matcha is always my go-to. If you like sweet, make sure to add one of their syrups as they don't come sweetened.

Zebra House (San Clemente) — Their lavender tea is so refreshing. They have a variety of food and drinks that you really can't go wrong with, Id order their whole menu if I could.

West Toast — The best organic and local food cafe. It doesn't get any better then going to a coffee shop right on the beach (literally)!

THINGS TO DO —

San Onofre State Beach— if you don't have a state pass, it costs $15 for the day. They do have a dog beach and beginner friendly waves. Head to Used Surf to rent a board.

Del Mar (San Clemente) — Start on the top and make your way down. You can't miss all of the cute local boutiques + more.

Ecology Center (San Juan Capistrano) — Local farm that sells fresh product and goodies. They host events frequently and offer seasonal strawberry picking!

Beach Walk — The whole trail is about 3.5 miles I believe. If you walk towards T-Street, make sure to grab a coffee at West Toast!
